CR&W: Death Doula & End-of-life Guide
We hold space for individuals and families as they navigate end-of-life-with clarity, compassion, and courage.
Frequently Asked Questions
A death doula provides non-medical, emotional, practical, and spiritual support to individuals and families before, during, and after the dying process.
How is a death doula different from hospice?
Hospice provides medical care and pain management. A death doula complements hospice by focusing on emotional support, legacy work, advance planning conversations, vigil presence, and family guidance.
When should someone hire a death doula?
At any stage of a serious diagnosis, during advance care planning, or when someone wishes to prepare intentionally for end-of-life — even if death is not imminent.
What services do you provide?
Services may include end-of-life planning support, legacy projects, guided family conversations, vigil presence, comfort measures, and bereavement support.
Do you provide medical care?
No. Death doulas do not provide medical treatment or clinical care.
Are services available virtually?
Yes. Support is available in person (where applicable) and via secure videoconference.
Do you support families as well as the individual?
Absolutely. Care extends to loved ones, offering guidance, education, and emotional support throughout the process.
